UOB partners Japan's ORIX for fund aimed at S-E A firms

UNITED Overseas Bank (UOB) has partnered New York-listed Japanese financial services company ORIX to launch a US$200 million mezzanine fund targeting mid-sized South-east Asian companies.

UOB said on Thursday the United Orient Capital Fund will provide these companies access to expansion capital.

UOB is the first Singapore bank to launch such a fund, it said.
