UOB raises over S$1m for four charities
UNITED Overseas Bank deputy chairman and chief executive Wee Ee Cheong (in white cap, above) participated with bank customers and senior management at its 11th annual Heartbeat Run/Walk event here on Sunday.
As part of the event, more than 7,000 UOB employees, their family members and UOB customers raised over S$1 million for four Singapore charities. The money will be donated to underprivileged and special needs children and youth from the Lighthouse School, MINDS Fernvale Gardens School, MINDS Woodlands Garden School and Rainbow Centre - Margaret Drive School.
"Keep The Good Going", the theme for the UOB Heartbeat Corporate Social Responsibility Programme, embodies the bank's long-term commitment to making a difference in the community through programmes focusing on art, children and education.
