SHARES in UOL Group, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Holdings and SATS picked up in trading and price on Friday on news that the three stocks will join the Straits Times Index (STI) as constituents from Sept 21.
On a day when the STI dropped 1.47 per cent to 2,863.81, the three stocks which they are replacing all fell - Jardine Matheson Holdings 2.23 per cent to US$49.20, Jardine Strategic Holdings 2.57 per cent to US$27.72 and Olam 2.46 per cent to S$1.98.
