US companies score miserably in ESG disclosures: report

But real concern is lack of transparency and comparability of ESG reporting worldwide

COMPANIES listed in the United States performed dismally when it came to reporting on their environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) performance, compared to those in other major markets, said a new study - with global conglomerate Honeywell and technology giant Microsoft coming in dead last in the overall rankings.

The new analytic survey by Global ESG Monitor (GEM) looked at non-financial reports published by 140 companies listed in Europe, Australia and the US, from the latest reporting season available.
