US soya, corn futures stake out new lows; wheat mixed
Chicago
US soyabean futures dropped one per cent on Friday to their lowest in more than four months on pressure from rising forecasts for already-robust South American harvests, traders said. Corn futures also weakened, hitting their lowest since Jan 30.
Wheat futures were mixed, with Chicago Board of Trade soft red winter wheat rising on bargain buying following four straight days of declines, while KC hard red winter wheat and MGEX spring wheat weakened as some much-needed rain arrived in the US Plains.
