US: S&P 500, Nasdaq rebound as Tesla shares soar
THE S&P 500 and the Nasdaq opened higher on Thursday (Oct 24), recovering from a selloff in the previous session, as gains in Tesla shares after its optimistic earnings forecast lifted indexes.
Shares of Tesla were up 14 per cent.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 103.65 points, or 0.24 per cent, at the open to 42,411.30.
The S&P 500 rose 20.4 points, or 0.35 per cent, at the open to 5,817.8, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 107.5 points, or 0.59 per cent, to 18,384.155 at the opening bell. REUTERS
