US stocks open higher, spotlight on Fed
[NEW YORK] The main US stock indexes opened higher on Wednesday (Jun 17), as chip stocks rebounded ahead of the first interest rate decision under new Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh.
At 09:30 am ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 11.12 points, or 0.02 per cent, to 52,010.79.
The S&P 500 gained 8.44 points, or 0.11 per cent, to 7,519.79 and the Nasdaq Composite gained 113.22 points, or 0.43 per cent, to 26,489.56. REUTERS
