US: Wall St muted at open after sharp rally, focus on Nvidia earnings
[NEW YORK] Wall Street’s main indexes opened subdued on Wednesday (May 28) after a sharp rally in the previous session, when cooling trade tensions boosted sentiment, as investors awaited AI leader Nvidia’s results and minutes from the US central bank’s last meeting.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 18.0 points, or 0.04 per cent, at the open to 42,361.63.
The S&P 500 rose 4.0 points, or 0.07 per cent, at the open to 5,925.54, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 33.5 points, or 0.17 per cent, to 19,232.619 at the opening bell. REUTERS
