US: Wall St muted at open as US-China trade talks in focus
[NEW YORK] Wall Street’s main indexes opened subdued on Tuesday (Jun 10) as investors awaited the outcome of ongoing trade talks between the United States and China aimed at cooling a tariff dispute that has bruised global markets this year.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 23.5 points, or 0.05 per cent, at the open to 42,738.27.
The S&P 500 rose 4.0 points, or 0.07 per cent, at the open to 6,009.91, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 28.9 points, or 0.15 per cent, to 19,620.108 at the opening bell. REUTERS
