US: Wall St opens flat ahead of Fed's policy decision

[NEW YORK] Wall Street’s main indexes opened subdued on Wednesday (Sep 17) ahead of a widely anticipated interest-rate cut from the Federal Reserve later in the day, while Nvidia slipped after a report Chinese tech firms might stop buying its chips.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 20.5 points, or 0.04 per cent, at the open to 45,778.4.
The S&P 500 fell 1.9 points, or 0.03 per cent, at the open to 6,604.87, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 0.9 points, or flat, at 22,333.016 at the opening bell. REUTERS
