US: Wall St opens higher as oil prices ease, Fed meeting in focus
[NEW YORK] Wall Street’s main indexes opened higher on Monday (Jun 16) as easing oil prices supported sentiment despite ongoing attacks between Israel and Iran, while investors focused on the upcoming Federal Reserve meeting.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 102.3 points, or 0.24 per cent, at the open to 42,300.13.
The S&P 500 rose 27.0 points, or 0.45 per cent, at the open to 6,004, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 143.9 points, or 0.74 per cent, to 19,550.749 at the opening bell. REUTERS
