US: Wall St opens lower after Trump's new tariff salvo
[NEW YORK] Wall Street’s main indexes opened lower on Thursday (Mar 13) after President Donald Trump upped his tariff rhetoric against the European Union, while investors found some reprieve from signs of cooling inflation.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 70.9 points, or 0.17 per cent, at the open to 41,280.05.
The S&P 500 fell 4.9 points, or 0.09 per cent, at the open to 5,594.45, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 49.9 points, or 0.28 per cent, to 17,598.565 at the opening bell. REUTERS
