US: Wall Street indexes open muted ahead of Fed's interest rate verdict

    [NEW YORK] Wall Street’s main indexes opened subdued on Wednesday (Jun 18), ahead of the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy decision, as the Israel-Iran conflict that entered its sixth day kept investors on edge.

    The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 20.2 points, or 0.05 per cent, at the open to 42,236.03.

    The S&P 500 rose 5.2 points, or 0.09 per cent, at the open to 5,987.93​, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 5.8 points, or 0.03 per cent, to 19,526.917 at the opening bell. REUTERS
