US: Wall Street opens higher as Fed meeting week begins; Tesla climbs
[NEW YORK] Wall Street indexes opened slightly higher on Monday (Sep 15), setting the stage for a week dominated by the Federal Reserve’s policy meeting, while Tesla shares gained following CEO Elon Musk’s stock purchase.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 14.2 points, or 0.03 per cent, at the open to 45,848.39.
The S&P 500 rose 19.2 points, or 0.29 per cent, to 6,603.49, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 102.1 points, or 0.46 per cent, to 22,243.199. REUTERS
