US: Wall Street opens higher as Treasury yields retreat; earnings in focus

    WALL Street’s main indexes opened higher as a selloff in US Treasuries eased on Tuesday (Oct 24), while shares of General Electric and Coca-Cola rose on upbeat forecasts.

    The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 153.23 points, or 0.47 per cent, at the open to 33,089.64.
