US: Wall Street opens lower at end of turbulent week

WALL Street’s main indexes opened lower on the last day of a turbulent week, while Federal Reserve officials’ dovish signals following a report of a resilient labour market kept losses in check.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 38.4 points, or 0.10 per cent, at the open to 39,408.06.
The S&P 500 fell 4.7 points, or 0.09 per cent, at the open to 5,314.66, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 23.5 points, or 0.14 per cent, to 16,636.522 at the opening bell. REUTERS
