Vard confirms new fishing vessel contract
YARD group Vard Holdings said that a contract to design and construct one krill fishing vessel for Norway's Aker BioMarine has been confirmed.
Vard previously announced the contract on Feb 14, 2017 stating the contract is still subject to certain conditions, including customary financing conditions.
The yard group said that these conditions have now been fulfilled and the contract has become effective.
Delivery is scheduled from Vard Brattvaag in Norway in Q4 2018. The hull of the vessel will be built by Vard Tulcea in Romania.
