Venture capital in S'pore yet to see 'great enough returns'

SINGAPORE - unlike Silicon Valley - has yet to enjoy excess liquidity or idle venture funds in its startup ecosystem, mostly because venture capital (VC) here has not delivered "great enough returns" to attract immense funding, according to a partner at Bain & Company.
But this is a good problem, Suvir Varma told The Business Times at yesterday's VC and Private Equity (PE) Trends in South-east Asia (SEA) lunch event.
