VOLKSWAGEN Group Singapore (VW Singapore) will take over as the official agent for automobile brands Cupra and Seat in June, in a move that underscores its pivot towards electric vehicles (EV).
VW Singapore will assume distributorship and dealership of Cupra and aftersales and service support for Seat, noted people familiar with the matter.
Currently, both brands are represented here by agent Vertex Euro Motors. Vertex will cease its retail sales and aftersales support of Cupra in June. For Seat, it will continue as a service partner until the end of the year. It will also offer its remaining Seat inventory for sale over the same time period.
