Volkswagen to remove Audi CEO after slide in brand’s performance
VOLKSWAGEN will replace the chief executive officer of Audi following a number of mishaps and slow progress on innovation that has seen the luxury brand fall behind competitors BMW and Mercedes-Benz, indicated two people familiar with the plans.
VW’s supervisory board is meeting on Thursday (Jun 29), and is expected to approve plans to remove 54-year-old Markus Duesmann, the sources said, declining to be named discussing private information.
