Wall St opens lower as rally pauses in final week of 2025
[NEW YORK] Wall Street’s main indexes opened lower on Monday (Dec 29), as heavyweight technology stocks gave up some ground from last week’s gains which had pushed the S&P 500 to new highs.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 74.3 points, or 0.15 per cent, at the open to 48,636.63.
The S&P 500 fell 26.3 points, or 0.38 per cent, at the open to 6,903.6, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 178.4 points, or 0.76 per cent, to 23,414.679 at the opening bell. REUTERS
