Wall Street opens near record highs as AI optimism counters US-Iran war worries
[NEW YORK] Wall Street’s main indices opened near record highs on Monday (Jun 1) as investors weighed Nvidia’s latest artificial intelligence push against growing doubts over a deal to end the three-month-old US-Iran war.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 128.6 points, or 0.25 per cent, at the open to 51,161.1. The S&P 500 rose 2.2 points, or 0.03 per cent, at the open to 7,582.29; while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 20 points, or 0.07 per cent, to 26,952.579 at the opening bell. REUTERS
