Weak demand, new supply weigh on Far East H-Trust

LOWER corporate travel demand due to the uncertain economic environment, along with the influx of new hotel rooms on the market, weighed on the results of hotel and serviced residence owner Far East Hospitality Trust.
The stapled group, which comprises a real estate investment trust (Reit) and a dormant business trust, reported a distribution per stapled security of 1.17 Singapore cents for its fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2015, down 8.6 per cent from a year ago.
