Earnings boosted by good performance in oilseeds & grains, tropical oils, and higher contributions from associates
Singapore
BETTER showing at the oilseeds & grains and tropical oils divisions and higher contributions from associates fuelled a 51 per cent jump in Wilmar International's quarterly net profit to US$361.6 million from US$239.4 million a year ago.
Gains from the group's portfolio of investment securities owing to better equities markets also led to the improved showing in the first quarter.
