In the world of private banking, it's all about trust
For BOS's Derrick Tan, this holds true when it comes to clients, staff and supervisors.
THE word "trust" crops up many times during the interview with Derrick Tan, one of the most senior private bankers at Bank of Singapore (BOS).
The amiable 45-year-old, one of four global market heads who report directly to CEO Bahren Shaari, says he wouldn't be where he is today without placing a high level of trust in his peers and superiors.
"Bahren has been a mentor and a friend of mine for over 10 years. I trust him with my career and I trust him to build a very sustainable long-term business model," Mr Tan tells The Business Times during the hour-long chat at his office in Market Street.
