YouTrip faces two-hour outage on Tuesday
MULTI-CURRENCY e-wallet YouTrip said on Tuesday (Jun 6) that its server faced an issue which affected its app’s functions for about two hours on Tuesday afternoon.
YouTrip’s status page showed that the e-wallet faced issues with eight services, including currency exchange, payment authentication and top-ups.
In response to The Business Times’ queries, the company said that users were affected from 1 pm to 3.30 pm.
All app functions have since been restored, and users can continue to use their cards and its app for transactions.
The company added that payment functions, such as YouTrip card payments, were unaffected throughout the day.
“Some of our users may experience intermittent delays in transaction history within the YouTrip app as our server recovers, but all transactions will continue to be completed successfully as per normal.

“Payment transactions on users’ YouTrip card were being completed as per usual during that period despite not being able to access the app to check for account balance and other in-app features,” the company said.
The company also reassured users that their money and data are safe, and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
From about 2 pm, users on YouTrip’s Facebook page commented that they were unable to login, top up their accounts or make payments. Some users also expressed concerns over whether their accounts were hacked.
