Yuuzoo secures rights to organise, co-host upcoming gaming event in China
YUUZOO, a mainboard-listed social commerce company, on Thursday said it has secured rights to organise and co-host the upcoming Electronic Sports China Cup (ESCC) Online Gaming Clubs Invitational in China.
Some three million participants from over 1,000 Internet clubs from 15 provinces in China are expected to compete at ESCC - battling it out in the League of Legends for the grand bonus of three million yuan (S$667,726).
The event, managed by the Chinese Ministry of Culture through its affiliate China Animation Group, is co-hosted by YuuZoo's recently announced joint venture partner, Chinese e-sport event organiser XG AMA.
James Sundram, recently appointed chief executive of YuuZoo, said: "YuuZoo has over the last few months kicked off several new initiatives to expand its footprint in China's huge social e-commerce and gaming market.
"The recent deal ... will over the course of the four-month-long competition hugely increase YuuZoo's exposure in China, which we expect to significantly support all our commercial activities there."
The finals will be held from Dec 27, 2015 to Jan 1, 2016.
