YZJ finalises US$133m shipbuilding orders in Q2
YANGZIJIANG Shipbuilding said on Monday it had concluded in the second quarter six shipbuilding orders with a total contract value of US$133 million.
Three of these orders for 1,800 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit) containerships were exercised from options tied to existing shipbuilding orders. Three others for 82,000-deadweight-tonne bulk carriers were new shipbuilding orders.
These six shipbuilding orders are scheduled for phased deliveries in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
The shipbuilding group had year-to-date secured a total of 19 shipbuilding contracts worth US$450 million.
It said it has nine outstanding options that are still to be exercised by its clients.
