Zheneng Jinjiang Environment H1 profit up 60.5% at 332 million yuan
Its revenue stood at 1.82 billion yuan, a marginal increase of 0.6% from 1.81 billion yuan in H1 2024
[SINGAPORE] China-based waste treatment group Zheneng Jinjiang Environment on Saturday (Aug 9) posted a profit of 332 million yuan (S$59.4 million) for its first half ended June 30, 60.5 per cent up from 206.9 million yuan in the previous corresponding period.
This translated to an earnings per share of 0.2304 yuan, up from 0.1423 yuan the previous year.
Its revenue stood at 1.82 billion yuan, a marginal increase of 0.6 per cent from 1.81 billion yuan in H1 2024.
The top-line growth was mainly attributed to improved operational efficiency at existing waste-to-energy plants, better efficiency on enhanced grate furnace systems and an increase in revenue from slag by-products.
Finance costs fell by 36.7 million yuan to 194.6 million yuan in H1 2025, from 231.3 million yuan in H1 2024. This was due to the decline in the interest rates of domestic loans as well as the group’s proactive refinancing of loans ahead of their scheduled maturities.
No dividend was declared for the period.
