SPEEDING past Wall Street's expectations, Walt Disney Co on Tuesday reported a 28 per cent increase in quarterly profit, with the Star Wars franchise as the primary engine.
But instead of revelling in the record profits, Disney chief executive Robert A. Iger found himself once again mounting a defence of ESPN on a post-earnings conference call with analysts.
