LTA and Mastercard launch 'tap & go' pilot for train and bus fares

FROM March 20, Mastercard holders taking the bus or train can simply "tap and go" with their contactless credit or debit cards.
They will no longer need to carry separate cards or top up their stored-value transit cards at travel ticket machines.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) and Mastercard are launching a pilot of the Account-Based Ticketing (ABT) System, under which they can pay for their fares on public transport.
