Paytm Mall delists 85,000 sellers to avoid Alibaba's problems with fakes

PAYTM Ecommerce Pvt, the latest entrant into India's online retailing market, is taking a hard line with suspect merchants to avoid backer Alibaba Group Holding Ltd's reputation as a haven for fakes.
In one fell swoop, Paytm Mall delisted 85,000 sellers, leaving just 30,000 on its platform. The move is designed to build trust with customers from the very start.
