Shanghai Tang CEO prudent on China, looks to expand overseas
Pointing out that China is slowing down, he says his company needs to wait and see what is happening in the country

SHANGHAI Tang's chief executive officer said his brand has suffered less than others since the economic slowdown in China but he is not considering opening any new stores on the mainland at present.
"China is slowing down. Between Hong Kong and China, we have 35 stores. We are present in main capital cities of China plus the main airports. I would not go further for the time being. I think we need to wait and see what is happening in China," said Raphael le Masne de Chermont in an interview in his flagship Shanghai store.
