AUSTRALIA'S competition regulator said the possible sale of liquefied natural gas (LNG) intended for the country's domestic market to overseas customers instead must be reviewed amid high wholesale prices at home.
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull met energy producers on Wednesday over Australia's potential gas shortages and producers say they are committed to delivering sufficient gas to avoid power blackouts in the eastern states. They will also be required to share pricing and volume data with the competition regulator to increase transparency.
