Celanese's new S'pore VAE emulsions unit begins production
The Jurong Island facility will help meet growing demand for eco-friendly materials such as vinyl acetate ethylene in S-E Asia

NEW YORK-LISTED chemical and advanced materials maker Celanese Corporation on Wednesday started production in its newest manufacturing facility on Jurong Island, which would go towards supporting growing demand for eco-friendly materials in South-east Asia.
The vinyl acetate ethylene (VAE) facility is the group's third VAE investment in Asia. VAE is used in a variety of industrial and consumer applications, ranging from paints and coatings to carpet backings, and adhesives for woodworking and paper packaging.
