China appoints Li Yunpeng as Sinopec deputy manager

[BEIJING] China has appointed Li Yunpeng as deputy general manager of oil major Sinopec Group, the state-owned company said on Wednesday.
Mr Li will also become deputy party secretary at the group, according to a post on its Wechat account.
The 56-year-old executive was previously with China Ocean Shipping Company, according to a report by local media outlet Caixin. Mr Li was removed from Cosco's management after a reorganisation at the group last year, it said.
