Energy Absolute seeks 15b baht in loans for new wind farm

ENERGY Absolute Pcl, Thailand's biggest renewable energy company by market value, is seeking about 15 billion baht (S$590 million) of loans from domestic lenders to finance the construction of a new wind-power project.
The Bangkok-based company has talked with commercial banks about extending credit for three-quarters of the 20 billion baht needed for a 260- megawatt wind farm in Chaiyaphum province, 350km northeast of Bangkok, said CFO Amorn Sapthaweekul.
