ExxonMobil stays the course on Singapore expansion but watching market closely

US oil giant ExxonMobil is closely watching the pandemic-hammered market for high-quality fuels and lubricants, and staying the course on the multi-billion dollar expansion of its integrated manufacturing complex on Jurong Island.
"It (the new project) is in progress right now. We are committed to completing the project," said ExxonMobil's newly appointed Asia-Pacific chairman and managing director Geraldine Chin.
Covid-19 has obviously resulted in reduced demand for some of ExxonMobil's products. "So we're watching the market demand closely and will bring it on consistent with where we see the market (going)," she added.
