Higher coffee prices could be passed on to consumers as Brazil frost threatens supply
COFFEE drinkers may find themselves having to pay more for a cup of their favourite brew as coffee shops and roasters pass on the rising cost of coffee beans.
Victor Mah, president of the Asean Coffee Federation (ACF), estimates the man on the street is likely to face a "gradual price increase" of 5 to 10 per cent over the next 10 months.
Bean prices began to rise earlier this year due to a shortage of shipping containers. Demand was also stoked by the resumption of activities as countries around the world emerged from lockdowns.
