EVEN as the International Energy Agency (IEA) raised its forecast for renewable energy capacity growth for the next five years, it warned that the sector will face challenges in the form of grid integration and energy storage as the use of renewables rises.
The IEA expects global renewable energy capacity to grow 42 per cent by 2021, some 13 percentage points higher than its forecast last year.
