MALAYSIA'S national oil company Petronas is understood to be looking to defer the delivery of its second floating liquefied natural gas plant (PFLNG 2) under construction in South Korea following the company's further announced budget cut last week.

The Business Times understands that Petronas has indicated the intent to slow down the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of PFLNG 2, previously awarded under a multibillion-dollar contract to a consortium of South Korea's Samsung Heavy Industries and Japan's JGC Corporation.
