Petronas to raise output from sour gas fields
It is boosting capacity at Bintulu complex amid challenge to Malaysia's position as second-biggest LNG exporter
Singapore
PETRONAS has set out to expand capacity at the Bintulu liquefied natural gas complex in Sarawak to process output from sour gas fields that hold the key to maintaining Malaysia's position as a major LNG exporter.
An engineering studies contract said to have been awarded to Wood Group will draw up the development concept for the new Bintulu Integrated Gas Project, otherwise known as Big P, for the purpose of receiving and treating highly contaminated natural gas.
