TEMASEK-OWNED Pavilion Energy has signed a term deal with China's Zhejiang Hangjiaxin Clean Energy Co to supply small-scale liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Singapore.

Up to 0.5 million tonnes per year of LNG will be delivered to Hangjiaxin from 2023, the Pavilion Energy said in a press statement on Tuesday (Dec 28).

The LNG will be delivered to a terminal in Zhejiang to be operated by Hangjiaxin - a joint venture between Jiaxing Gas and Hangzhou Gas.

Jiaxing Gas is the largest pipeline natural gas operator in Jiaxing, while Hangzhou Gas is Zhejiang's largest natural gas distributor, Pavilion Energy said.

With the agreement, Hangjiaxin will have its own terminal, offering its end users more clean energy options in the long run, said Hangjiaxin Clean Energy chief executive Sun Lianqing.
