Endowus makes donating easy this Christmas with Giving Machines
Singapore
ENDOWUS has raised around S$22,000 to date for its Endowus Gives Back initiative, and the amount is at the halfway mark of its S$50,000 target.
The MAS-licensed digital wealth platform has placed 12 physical Giving Machines - which are actually vending machines with a twist - and 4 virtual ones around Singapore.
Via the machines, individuals would be able to donate S$5, S$10 or S$20 to their chosen charity.
Upon the donation, the "vending machine" will dispense a card to the donor to show them examples of tangible items that the amount donated would be contributed towards - such as food, stationery, and rehabilitation sessions with patients and educational therapy.
Gregory Van, Endowus' chief executive officer, said: "We are a wealth creation company built on the principles of accessible financial investment, but we believe that giving can also be a force for good, and we want to leverage our brand, reach and customer pool to support the tough but important work that charities do.

"As part of the Endowus Gives Back initiative, the Giving Machines are a unique and interesting way to easily help those in need and make the festive season a little more meaningful for both the giver and receiver," he added.
The initiative will help 15 charities, which include TTSH Community Fund, Boys' Town, and NTUC-U Care Fund.
Zainal Sapari, NTUC assistant director-general and director of NTUC Care and Share Department, said: "This is the first time NTUC-U Care Fund is collaborating with Endowus on the Giving Machine Campaign. I hope that this new and unique initiative will pique the interest of the public to donate during this season of giving."
Endowus partnered UOL Group and Marina Square on the locations of the physical vending machines, Reinvend Solutions for the supply of the vending machines, Moove Media for the virtual vending machines, and Giving.sg for donations received through the virtual vending machines.
UOL chief investment and asset officer Jesline Goh said: "We recognise that we have a role to play in the community we operate in. Together, we can care for disadvantaged groups and help foster inclusivity in our community."
Individuals will be able to make donations via Giving.sg and any of the machines till end December.
The physical machines are stationed at Kinex, Marina Square, United Square and Velocity, and the virtual machines are located at the MRT stations of Beauty World, Clarke Quay, Farrer Park and Hougang.
