Iron Man swears in 37 new Avengers
The young beneficiaries of Make-A-Wish Foundation get a surprise visit from the Marvel superhero in a tie-up with Walt Disney.
THIRTY-SEVEN children, beneficiaries of Make-A-Wish Foundation, were sworn in as Avengers last Sunday - just take Iron Man's word for it.
American actor Robert Downey Jr had stepped out from behind the curtains to the surprise of the children and their parents, before reciting a pledge with the children and handing out goodie bags. One boy had squealed: "Tony! Tony!"
This was at Avengers Academy, a series of five Avengers-themed game stalls and a collaborative effort by Make-A-Wish Singapore, a non-profit organisation that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses, Marina Bay Sands and The Walt Disney Company South-east Asia.
