    [SINGAPORE] Mandai Wildlife Group on Monday (Jul 21) announced the upcoming retirement of its group chief executive officer, Mike Barclay, on Oct 31, 2025.

    The 58-year-old will be succeeded by Bennett Neo, who will formally assume the position of group CEO on Oct 1 this year.

    Neo, 56, will be appointed group CEO designate from Sep 1, with Barclay staying on as an adviser until Oct 31, as part of the leadership transition.

    Piyush Gupta, chairman of Mandai Wildlife Group, said: “I would like to thank Barclay for his steadfast leadership and contributions over the past decade as he guided the group through its most ambitious transformation. While Barclay fostered a values-driven and guest-centric culture internally, he also strengthened partnerships across the conservation and zoological communities.”

    Neo most recently served as group chief operating officer at Sembcorp Industries. He has held various chief executive roles at regional companies including Saigon Beer-Alcohol-Beverage Corporation, one of the biggest publicly listed companies in Vietnam.

    Bennett Neo (above) will formally assume the position of group chief executive officer of Mandai Wildlife Group on Oct 1.

    The business leader has more than 30 years of regional and international experience across the fields of energy, offshore marine, logistics, and fast-moving consumer goods in Asia, Europe and the US. He enjoys being in nature, trekking and climbing mountains, outside of his corporate commitments.
