Temasek Trust launches advisory and management services initiative
By leveraging the Temasek arm’s resources and networks, the TT Foundation Advisors aims to be a ‘one-stop independent provider’ for impact organisations
TEMASEK Trust, the philanthropic arm of state investor Temasek, on Monday (Apr 29) launched a new initiative to provide advisory and management services to impact organisations across Asia.
The TT Foundation Advisors (TTFA) aims to be a “one-stop independent provider” for such organisations by improving access to Temasek Trust’s networks, capabilities and ongoing programmes.
Through the initiative, TTFA clients can better engage Temasek Trust ecosystem entities, such as the Centre for Impact Investing and Practices and the Philanthropy Asia Alliance, to pursue a variety of philanthropic endeavours.
These can range from receiving insights and management training to collaborating with like-minded partners on global giving projects.
Temasek Trust CEO Desmond Kuek said that the initiative means to strengthen the regional philanthropic ecosystem by “supporting the increasing interest of individuals and family offices in legacy, impact and giving to build a positive, sustainable future for every generation”.
The trust said that the TTFA was launched amid shifting philanthropic trends in Asia, including a greater focus on impact measurement and evidence-based giving, as well as environmental and sustainability challenges.

It noted that Singapore is increasingly becoming a regional philanthropic hub, with rising demand for impact advisory and management services among organisations such as family offices and private banks.
David Chee, a partner at law firm WongPartnership, saw the launch as a positive industry development. “Philanthropy advisory and management services will be more accessible. Clients now have another option of a reputable and trusted service provider which is not linked to a financial institution.”
Head of TTFA Dickson Lim, who was executive director and head of philanthropy and community impact at UBS before joining Temasek Trust, described the initiative as “a significant opportunity to drive meaningful impact in Asia”.
He added: “My team and I at (TTFA) will leverage Temasek Trust’s insights, capabilities, and resources, as well as the expertise and evidence-based interventions across the wider philanthropic ecosystem... to deliver strategic and impactful solutions that resonate with (our clients’) passions, values, and the communities they care deeply about.”
