WONGPARTNERSHIP has raised over S$388,000 for 4 charities from a month-long fundraising campaign in May that was held in conjunction with a virtual run as part of the legal service provider’s 30th anniversary celebrations.
The run saw over 1,400 people cover a distance of more than 130,000 km, with their efforts helping to raise funds for AWWA, ISCOS ReGen Fund (IRF), Lakeside Family Services and the Singapore Repertory Theatre (SRT).
With the government’s dollar-for-dollar matching, WongPartnership said the final amount could hit over S$776,000, with each charity set to receive at least S$150,000.
Throughout the month of May, different teams from the firm organised fundraising and publicity initiatives to raise the profile of the 4 charities, including runs around the Marina Bay area, social media campaigns, and a visit to a community home to interact with seniors.
WongPartnership’s managing partner Ng Wai King said the firm’s adopted charities serve a wide range of needs in Singapore’s society and that he was glad to help contribute to the worthy causes that they each serve.
AWWA is a social service agency that delivers programmes and services such as early intervention for pre-schoolers and care services for seniors. IRF supports the children and families of reformed offenders, while Lakeside provides services to help groups such as disadvantaged children and women with unsupported pregnancies.
