Net buys of Singapore stocks outstrip net sells

GLOBAL mutual funds bought more Singapore shares than they sold in the three months to May 13. Based on transactions in the top five stocks, there were S$1.47 billion worth of net buys, compared to net sells of S$1.29 billion.
This week, we look into the consumer goods sector. Here, net sells outnumbered buys, based on the top five stocks. There were S$85.6 million worth of sells compared to buys of S$49.8 million. The top stock among the sells was Golden Agri Resources, with a volume of S$67.4 million. The top stock among the buys was Thai Beverage Public Co with a volume of S$19.7 million.
