Doctor Anywhere acquires Thailand-based telemedicine platform
HEALTHTECH startup Doctor Anywhere on Thursday (Nov 11) said it has acquired Thailand-based telemedicine platform Doctor Raksa for an undisclosed amount.
Doctor Raksa's offerings include online doctor consultations, electronic prescriptions, electronic medical summaries, pharmacist consultations and prescription refills.
"Doctor Raksa is an established brand in Thailand, and the acquisition is a strategic move by Doctor Anywhere as it will enable us to combine our strengths to meet the growing demand for telehealth in Thailand," said Lim Wai Mun, founder and CEO of Doctor Anywhere.
Doctor Anywhere, a telemedicine provider, plans to expand its medication delivery service in Thailand to 38 provinces by the end of Q1 2022.
Surangkhana Surapaitoon, general manager of Doctor Anywhere Thailand, said the acquisition of Doctor Raksa will help the group localise its services to meet market needs.
Doctor Anywhere is available in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines. In August, it announced a Series C fundraise of US$65.7 million.
